Reporting to the Director of Tax, the
incumbent will be responsible for the management of all UK and European tax
matters. The post holder will be responsible for providing tax advice on
business led initiatives, proposals and contract reviews. Including technical
research and planning. This is a high profile role with exposure to senior
management in the UK.
Outline Job Scope
- Partner with business leaders, tax, finance,
treasury, legal teams, and external advisers on various business and tax
- Management of tax issues relating to
acquisitions, disposals, liquidations, reorganisations and project
activities in new locations.

- Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and
tax statutes to reduce tax liability.
- Review of quarterly tax provisions (US GAAP
reporting) and advice to finance department colleagues; ETR analysis
- Review of UK statutory accounts disclosures
and corporation tax computations and returns
- Review of European local country tax returns
- Initiates and keeps track of tax reports,
returns, and other information connected to taxes, in conjunction with the
broader tax team.
- Management of HMRC enquiries and tax audits in
- Transfer pricing reporting & planning for
the region, together with the broader tax team.
- Liaison with representatives from JV partners
- Management and documentation of uncertain tax
- Management of UK tax group employees

Skills & Competencies
tax experience in the “Big 4” and / or large corporate function
in Accounting (or similar)
ACA or CTA qualified (or similar) preferable
with Microsoft office suite; SAP (or similar) experience preferable
with UK tax and outbound international tax issues (Europe exposure preferable)
communication (written and verbal) and management skills
to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects and priorities
with corporate tax accounting (US GAAP preferable)
date working knowledge of tax law and changes to UK legislation
experience leading EMEA regional tax responsibilities is ideal
with OneSource tax provision/compliance preferable
knowledge of employment taxes and indirect taxes is preferable, but not
travel required, less than 10% expected
hour working week, Monday – Friday 8 hours per day (plus lunch) core hours of
9.30am to 3pm (flexibility to be agreed with your Manager).
