I am currently recruiting for a small PRU in South Birmingham who are looking for a HLTA to join their primary department on a long-term basis. The successful HLTA must be primary experienced with experience of working with very challenging behaviour. Team Teach is also essential for this role.
The school is looking for a very experienced teaching assistant to join their team. You must have experience working with very challenging behaviour. The PRU is an excellent one to work in with lots of support from SLT. There is a lot of CPD and training available. You will also have other TA support in the classroom.
I am looking for a HLTA who isn't fazed by challenging behaviour and can just get stuck in and use your ownd initiative. Your Team Teach qualification will assist you in managing challenging behaviour and your prior experience will assist you in receiving results both academically and behaviourally. I have worked with this PRU for over three years and have always been impressed with how it is ran and how well they manage the behaviour of students, The class sizes are very small and there is a lot of HLTA support.
One of my teaching assistants said “I love working at this school/. It is a challenging but very rewarding role. We all get on very well here and there is always support”.
