The role of Mechanical Engineer is to provide a mechanical, thermal design and drafting service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
*To generate drawings and manufacturing packages as appropriate for internal and customer end use.
*Maintaining mechanical CAD libraries on a share basis.
*To liaise with suppliers with regard to mechanical issues, production tooling and related matters.
*To achieve program time-scales within cost budgets.
*To generate detailed technical proposals in response to customer requirements, as well as privately funded R and D projects.
*To provide a high level of customer service and to act as a technical interface between our customers and internal departments as appropriate.
*To generate such technical documentation and reports as determined by the program plan.
*To promote best design practices to ensure ease of manufacture and testability.
*To report directly to the Principal Mechanical Engineer and the Technical Manager and assist them in undertaking engineering activities
*To support team members with other tasks as and when necessary
*To carry out duties in a proper and efficient manner, act wholeheartedly in the interest of the Company at all times and to comply with the Company Rules and Regulations.
*Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of house keeping is maintained
*Responsible for ensuring that all Health & Safety Policies are adhered to
*To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
You will need to be educated to degree level and have experience of 3D modelling in Solidworks and COSMOS.
