Field Service Engineer – 50% split between mechanical and electrical
Covering the whole of the UK but strong presence in the Midlands (based out of home)

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to be based from home in the midlands covering the south mainly but wider UK on occasions, working for a leader in integrated systems for a variety of industries.
With over 4000 people worldwide, supported by a larger organisation and 3 major projects on the horizon the company are expecting considerable growth in the UK market. This position is due to growth as the previous engineer has progressed into a controls position! The company offers a great career path that is carved for you from day one.
As the Field Service Engineer (50%mechanical, 50%Electrical) you would be responsible for the maintenance and service of special purpose machinery and must be able to read and work from technical drawings. You will be fault using a multimeter on 3 phase motors, and must have previous experience with AC drives , servo motors, sensors, switches, contactors, inverters, relays, trips and safety circuits.
You will work on a mix of PPM and project work with a clear focus of working on Siemens PLC’s and will occasionally be required to stay away in the week
The mechanical responsibilities will include maintaining pneumatics and generally chain/motor driven equipment. Typical components include bearings, gearboxes and sprockets.
You must be happy to stay away for long periods of time and want to progress. we are looking for candidates that want to travel worldwide on all expenses paid training programmes as the company pride themselves on having the best engineering in the world. Money is a massive motivator and this role would suit a seasoned engineer that knows their worth.
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have previous experience working as a Service or Maintenance Engineer.
- Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification Level 3+.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be willing to stay away when required.
- Happy to be trained on the latest kit and fault finding methods.
