Are you and experienced Data Analyst looking for a new opportunity?
At Livingstone Group, we have a new opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our growing team and this role will play an active part in the success of Livingstone. The Data Analyst will collect, analyse, format and present new and existing data sources for our customers software and cloud investments driving optimisation recommendations and value-based data insights. Using our LUCE platform to configure new solutions in line with the business and client requirements.
The role can be fully remote and based within either the US or UK, but the candidate must have the right to work in the appropriate country. We also have collaboration hubs in Reading, Shoreditch and York which you can work from.
Day to day:
Analytical and problem-solving. Apply basic techniques for analysis of research data and synthesis of findings. Involve the team in analysis and synthesis. Present clear findings that colleagues can understand and use.
Communication. Translate and communicate accurate information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, set clear requirements needed to carry out accurate and high-quality analysis.
Data management. Understand data governance and how it works in relation to other organisational governance structures. Participate in or deliver the assurance of a service to the user.
Data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment. Produce data models and understand where to use different types of data models. Understand different tools and compare different data models. Reverse-engineer a data model from a live system and understand industry-recognised data-modelling patterns and standards to improve internal processes.
Automation and innovation. Identify and develop solution for automating complex repeatable queries that normalize and cleanse data for end user.
Data visualisation. Use the most appropriate approach to visualise data to tell compelling and actionable stories relevant for business goals. Present, communicate, and disseminate data appropriately and with high impact.
Logical and creative thinking. Respond to problems in databases, data processes, data products and services as they occur. Initiate actions, monitor services, and identify trends to resolve problems. Determine appropriate solutions and help to implement them as well as preventative measures.
Project management. Apply knowledge and experience of project management methodologies, including tools and techniques and adopt those most appropriate for the environment to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Quality assurance, validation, and data linkage. Recognise and identify appropriate ways to collect, collate and prepare data and ensure data is accurate and fit for purpose. Manage your own data preparation and cleansing with minimal guidance. Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.
Statistical methods and data analysis. Understand how and when to practically apply existing best-practice solutions.Benefits

Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineering and Analytics, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
Solid current experience of using an object-orientated software language to obtain, extract and manipulate data, such as Python, C#, Java or equivalent.
Daily experience of querying relational databases (using SQL Server specifically) as well as a working familiarity with other database systems.
Strong analytical skills related to working with a mixed variety of both structured and unstructured datasets, finding relationships in the data.
