Commercial Account Handler (Property, Casualty, Goods in Transit)
On behalf of a leading Lloyds Broker, we are looking for an Account Handler to join their team.
Duties will involve involvement in negotiating terms on new business & renewals, providing excellent client service at all times ensuring my clients high business retention levels are maintained.
Request relevant additional information required by underwriters from agents to enable them to consider requests further and vice versa
Ensure adequate contact is maintained with sub-agents and underwriters during any of the processes in order to finalise matters
To promptly convey instructions and premium to underwriters
Issue other relevant Total Objects integrated documents to accompany compliant cover debit note
Update Ml/Statistics using Total Objects as necessary
Advise brokers of acceptance/refusal of cover and provide written confirmation of terms as necessary
Ensure responses are promptly requested and received from underwriters where necessary and that agent informed accordingly
Liaising with colleagues, agent and underwriters in order to resolve issues
Ensure that all documentation is saved to Total Objects
Ensure that paper files are correct and in order prior to filing
Assist with accurate updating of files and issue of slips as required
Maintain own diary system in line with Group Best Practices
Liaising with Fleet Department to ascertain and explore cross selling opportunities.
Investigate and resolve accounts queries as requested
Calculation of accurate new business and renewal premium quotations
Provide written Contract Certain renewal terms and new business quotations to sub-agents
Analyse claims experience and terms where necessary
Complete in-house checklist as required
Logging of quotes as required
At the first opportunity, inform Line Manager of risks which are likely to lapse and advise the reasons why
Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters and agents.
Any other duties as directed in connection with the smooth running of the UK Risks Division
