To work alongside the catering team to deliver specific food and beverage requirements to volunteers on a daily basis, also to provide a dining experience to the staff onsite with occasional hospitality duties.
To acknowledge our volunteers in a polite and professional manner also to recognise regular volunteers by name.
Assist with the basic preparation of food / serving of beverages to the standards trained and defined to the site specification and to the standard operating procedures.
To serve Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks over a seven day period, to the volunteers on studies and record on the daily log sheets.
Ensure daily knowledge of the study specific food to be served, accompaniments and portion size.
Ensure meal requirements are accurate and in line with study menus.
Carry out cleaning as specified by management and the head chef.
Assist in the ordering of stock as requested and monthly stock takes
To assist with the service and cleaning of all coffee machines around site as per schedule.
To assist with the setup and delivery of Hospitality requests as and when needed.
To assist with breakfast and lunch service outside of the volunteer dining, this will include service to the staff and taking / accounting of all forms of payment.
To perform any other reasonable requests within the job role.
You will be required to complete simple sales control sheets and daily log sheets so basic numeracy and literacy skills are required
The successful applicant will also be required to carry out various kitchen duties, which could include: serving on counters and tills, plate wash and pot wash duties and general cleaning duties
Previous experience working in a catering environment is preferred, full training will be given.
