A permanent opportunity is available for a Principal Traffic and Transport Engineer to join a specialist consultancy within the Environmental sector. As the successful Traffic and Transport Engineer you will work as part of an integral team, to provide support to commercial, government, industrial and private clients across many sectors. Experienced candidates within a similar role should apply for this excellent opportunity to assist in the production of detailed Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
Traffic and Transport Engineer Role:-
Produce accurate and high-quality written and technical work within tight deadlines
Provide technical support on transport policy, planning procedures and associated documentation
Create traffic modelling, trip generations, traffic flow analysis, PIA data analysis and third party consultations
Using AutoCAD, familiarity with highway design and standards, including Traffic Signs Manuals, TSRGD and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
Use of specialist traffic modelling software such as ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
Autotrack, KeySign and Keylines
Role requirements and qualifications:-
Degree and/or post-graduate qualification in a Transport Planning or Engineering discipline.
Experience in using AutoCAD.
Familiarity with highway design and standards, including sign design is desirable
Ability to assess and produce preliminary junction design is desirable
Experience with specialist software such as ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG. Autotrack, KeySign and experience of Keylines is desirable
Ability to produce accurate and high-quality written and technical work within tight deadlines
Excellent computer-literacy and strong knowledge of MS Office-based applications
Full driving license essential.
£30,000 - £40,000, salary negotiable.
