Based within easy reach of Newcastle City Centre, this leading manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their team.
You will be responsible for:
The definition, organisation of development projects within a defined project programme, delivering software & other solutions / upgrades to critical production systems on time, within budget and to the required quality.
Ensuring each project is properly planned, all deliverables are defined, scheduled and resourced within a governed environment
General duties will be:
*To estimate and plan projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies.
*Cradle to grave management of projects within a governed project lifecycle including stakeholder management, project planning, and resource management within a defined project team, risk and issue management, budget management and project reporting.
*Liaise and negotiate with third parties, maximising business benefit within Programme Development.
*Ensuring all agreed deliverables are produced on time, within budget and to the required quality.
*Manage, monitor and motivate cross functional teams assigned to the project.
*Ensure projects deliver benefits as outlined within associated business cases.
*Conduct project presentations as required, and project reporting.
*Sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business.
*To ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs.
*To always act and behave in a way compliant with all company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to values and behaviours, environmental health and safety, ethics and codes of conduct, as it is through living their values that they strengthen the culture of their business, and demonstrate our understanding of our Code of Business Principles.
You should be:
*Experienced in delivering projects / software solutions that operate in a critical production / manufacturing environment
*Educated to at least degree level or substantial relevant experience;
*PRINCE2 Practitioner Certified
*Thorough knowledge of PRINCE2 and Microsoft Project.
*Experience matrix managing project teams of 10 to 15 people.
*Excellent client facing skills.
*Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, through to software release and business readiness.
*Strong negotiation skills with an ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions
