Business Development Executive
Role Type: Contract
A leading Engineering company based in Sheffield are looking to recruit for a Business Development Executive. Primarily the role will be office based, but there may be the occasional overnight stay.
Manage and develop a range of machined component customers
Develop existing customers with new product lines both for SDB and group machine shops/material supplies.
Develop a range of new customers from other industry sectors to broaden the company’s reliance on oil and gas.
Map out a systematic approach to further industry development.
Support other Gabbro facilities with machined component and even material sales development.
Providing support to the production team
Provide support for the delivery of machined components in to customers in a timely manner
Entering sales orders and building routes when required
Responding to customer/supplier queries as the single point of contact.
Quote complex machined items with assistance from Works Foremen.
Monitor the progress of all open orders to ensure minimum delivery issues.
Support customer rejections and concession requests using the Factory Master system (with assistance from works foremen).
Develop a team ethic in the business.
Carry out any other duties as and when required by your Operations Director
Minimum 3 years’ experience in either a sales or a similar engineering environment or a post graduate with some sales experience looking for a strong challenge.
Oil and Gas industry experience is not essential but would be useful.
Good communication skills,
GCSE Maths and English A-C,
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Office experience essential.
Must be willing to learn and develop themselves as the company grows.
Some familiarity with the CNC and manual machining processes.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
